The successful candidate will be responsible for proper management of stock within their assigned section by directly managing and overseeing every activity performed on the stock in their assigned section.
Also, supervising the picking and packing of items from the warehouse into picklists in the loading bay.
The KPIs are picking accuracy and stock accuracy.
Responsibilities
Create and manage stacking guidelines for all SKUs within assigned sections.
Perform labeling of all SKU stacks in the assigned section.
Perform capacity planning and allocation activities in conjunction with the procurement team to manage the space within the assigned section.
Oversee all stock movement activity within the assigned section.
Ensure adherence to all warehouse policy and procedures regarding stock movement within the assigned section (eg. FIFO).
Perform daily cycle counts and stock reconciliation to ensure the accuracy of the stock within the assigned section.
Prepare reports on stock activity within the assigned section at the end of every shift.
Provide reports for warehouse and procurement team on stock aging and movement velocity.
Requirements / Skills / Competencies
B.Sc in relevant fields.
3 years of experience in storekeeping, inventory control, or record keeping in a supermarket e.g Shoprite, Ebeano, cash and carry, etc.
Knowledge of proper bookkeeping and inventory management.
Familiarity with standard concepts and best practices in a stockroom or warehouse environment.
Analytical mind with the ability to make accurate mathematical computations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Competencies in data entry, analysis, and management.
Keen attention to detail and ability to effectively manage the warehouse
